In Body Worlds, scientist Gunther von Hagens, and physician Angelina Whalley, make the study of the human body once exclusive to the medical community accessible to everyone. Dr. von Hagens¹ groundbreaking science of Plastination, the polymer preservation of anatomical specimens, allows human bodies to be presented in dramatic, aesthetic displays. Dr. Whalley¹s medical and curatorial expertise, that meshes science and the humanities, invites contemplation, study and reflection of the awesome human body by everyone. The convergence of their multiple passions his, as an scientist, inventor and educator; hers, as a physician, exhibition designer and public health advocate results in an exhibition unlike any other one that changes, forever, the way we see ourselves.
